Support John Michael Kohler Arts Center
The John Michael Kohler Arts Center is a nonprofit organization established in 1967 for aesthetic and educational purposes. Its mission is to encourage and support innovative explorations in the arts and to foster an exchange between a national community of artists and a broad public that will help realize the power of the arts to inspire and transform our world. The Arts Center serves as a laboratory for the creation of new works, nurturer of interdisciplinary initiatives, originator of exhibitions, presenter and producer of performing arts, educator, publisher of critical writings, community builder, and advocate for issues affecting the arts. In essence, the Arts Center functions as a catalyst for and explorer of new art forms and new ideas that will impact the lives of both artists and public.
Friends of Art, the volunteer organization of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, helps to raise funds that support programming at the Arts Center. Proceeds from the Natural Ovens Bakery fundraiser will be dedicated to the Arts Center's scholarship/internship program. Annual scholarships make it possible for students to attend our arts-based Preschool and summer camps, and for children and adults of all ages to participate in classes. Internships are offered annually to undergraduate and graduate level college students to provide work experience and develop their interest in careers in the arts. Overall, the Natural Ovens Bakery fundraiser helps the Arts Center to meet its goal of making the arts accessible to more members of the community.
