Keto-Friendly Garlic Mushroom Swiss Burger

Yes, there are many Keto variations on a burger, but if you're craving the classic at your next barbeque give these a try. We cooked the mushrooms in butter for extra richness and then used the remaining butter to toast the bun, which took this burger to another level.

  • 4 Keto-Friendly Buns
  • 4 Burger patty 
  • 1 Package sliced mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Cloves minced garlic
  • 8 Slices swiss cheese 
  • Mayo 


  1. Start your mushrooms first by heating the butter in the pan over medium heat. Once the butter is fully melted add mushroom.
  2. Cook mushrooms until they begin to soften and release their juices, at this point add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  3. Once mushroom reached desire texture (and smell amazing) remove from heat. And spoon into a serving bowl. Feel free to reheat briefly if you're making this in advance.
  4. At that point either add butter to the pan or use residual butter to toast the bun. (make sure there isn't excessive liquid in the pan to avoid a soggy bun!)
  5. Grill or pan fry your burger to desired temperature, adding 2 slices of Swiss cheese just before you remove from heat.
  6. Assemble the burger with the patty, swiss, garlic mushroom and mayo.
  7. Enjoy!
